ACANA PHEROMONE MOTH TRAP provides early detection of a moth infestation and helps monitor activity following treatment. Each trap features a sticky surface infused with pheromones which attracts and kills the 'common clothes moth' or 'webbing clothes moth' (tineola bisselliella), the 'case making moth' (tinea pellionella), may also trap the 'pale backed moth' (monopis crocicapitella). Suitable for Clothes, Fabrics and Carpets. Long lasting. Each trap lasts up to 4 months*. Hang in Wardrobes or place on shelves, Carpets or near Fabrics. For total moth control see our Advanced 3 Stage System. *Dependent on area, temperature and airflow.
How it worksVitax Box Tree Moth Trap consists of a trap with 2 pheromone lures to attract the male box tree moths, monitoring and helping control this serious pest. The lure attracts male moths which then drop through the funnel into the trap. Minor infestations may be adequately controlled by preventing males from mating with female moths. For severe infestations the monitoring trap provides warning of infestation allowing timely control measures to be introduced.Usage PeriodThe box tree moth is generally active from mid-April to October, peaking between mid-July to the end of September. The moth has a wingspan of 38-40mm with white wings with a broad bronze brown border. Occasionally the wings can be almost entirely brown with a couple of white spots on the forewing. There can be up to 3 generations of caterpillars during the season.Protects up to 200m2Will not harm beneficial insectsBird friendly glue free trapContains reusable trap and 12 weeks of pheromone lureSuitable for organic gardeningPesticide free
Slug Gone is the natural way to keep slugs and snails away from plants. Popular amongst environmentally-conscious and organic gardeners, Slug Gone is 100% natural and derived from British wool.Slug Gone is applied to the soil below the plant to create a irritating, absorbent mat that works as a natural slug repellent. It prevents slugs and snails from reaching the plant, whilst adding nutrients to the soil and locking in moisture.Slug Gone:Biodegradable, contains naturally occurring slow release nutrients to help feed plantsIts minute fibres form a mat which is an irritant to slugs and absorbs moisture from the slug’s footImproves water retention.Containing naturally occurring nutrients, Slug Gone consists of a biodegradable protein fibre which releases nitrogen, potassium, sulphur and other trace elements essential for plant growth. To deter slugs and other gastropods, simply lay the pellets around the stems of plants. For best results, add Slug Gone in a 10cm radius around the plant, then add water to cause the fibres to bond. The swollen wool pellets form a felt which makes it difficult for slugs to travel across. The wool pellet mat also contains abrasive particles which irritate the slug’s foot, physically deterring the slug and creating a 100% natural barrier.Safe to use around children and pets, Slug Gone can also be used to protect against cabbage root fly.Naturally deters gastropods such as slugs and snailsCreates a self-felting mulchHelps prevent weedsSoaks up and holds water; great to combine with soils and compostsBiodegrades in 6 to 14 months whilst delivering organic nutrientsContributes as a water retainer and soil improverA natural mulch and soil conditionerProtects and enriches soilPerfect for flower beds, container pots and hanging basketsHow to use:For best results, apply Slug Gone as a 10cm band around the plant and ensure there are no gaps. To prevent slugs reaching the plants ensure no leaves or stems overhang the pot’s perimeter, stand next to containers which do not have Slug Gone protection, or place next to walls where slugs can drop onto the plant.
